Once the installation of the 3CX Desktop App has completed, you should have a 3CX icon on your desktop.
If not please search for 3CX by pressing "start" and then "search".
3CX is automatically set to start up with windows.
1. Configuring BLF Keys
BLF is a feature which identifies unused line keys on your desk phone and monitors the status of other phones on your account.
In the 3CX Desktop app go to settings.
Next, Click on BLF and configure your extensions as needed, make sure that your first drop down is set to BLF.
The second drop-down can be used for an additional extension, if needed.
2. Accessing the Softphone
The Softphone can be accessed via the phone button.
Once the Softphone has opened, you can close the 3CX desktop app.
3. Softphone Settings
Now that we have configured the BLF Settings, we need to configure the Softphone.
3CX Softphone can be used to manage your Physical phone, Desktop Softphone or Smartphone.
You can select your preferred option below. (We recommend keeping it on Desktop App option):
3. Softphone Expanding BLF Keys
You can show and hide BLF keys as needed.
Pressing on one of the keys will call the extension.
